ESTIMATING FOR FABRICATION & CONSTRUCTION

Quote faster.
Win more work.

Turn a BOM, a drawing or a plan set into a professional, customer-ready quote — inside the Excel and LibreOffice workbooks you already use. Your rates. Your data. Your machine. No ERP. No AI bills. No cloud.

Runs locally. Your price book never leaves your machine. One avoided misquote pays for the year. Closed beta now — a 30-day free trial of the whole product opens at public launch.

WHY ESTIMATORS SWITCH

One engine, any trade

Shop quote or construction bid, the same engine does the arithmetic — and shows its work.

=TRUST()

Every dollar traceable

Every line traces back to a quantity, a rate, a vendor price or a markup rule. If a customer asks how you got a number, you can show them.

=LOCAL()

Local-first by design

Your price book, vendor costs and jobs stay on your machine — or your own server on Enterprise. Nothing is uploaded, aggregated or sold.

=BYOAI()

Bring your own AI — or none

AI can read drawings and do the typing, on your provider account. Pricing is fully deterministic — no model ever decides what something costs.

=MODE()

Budgetary to firm, in one file

Start with a quick rough number, firm it up line by line — per assembly or scope, in the same workbook. Hand-typed rows are never overwritten.

=YOURS()

Your cost types, your words

Types, markups and what gets added under what are rows in a rate sheet, not code. Start from the fabrication or construction setup, or define your own.

=TERMS()

A quote, not a price list

Sales tax on or off, validity and expiry, exclusions and clarifications, alternates kept out of the total, and a compare between revisions.

WHO IT'S FOR

Shop floor or job site

One engine, two ready-made setups. Start from either, or define your own cost types.

GET STARTED

All features. Every plan.

Per seat, or one price for your whole team on your own server — either way, no features held back and no per-call AI charges. Every plan includes everything on this page — and the 30-day trial (opening at public launch) is the complete product, so you know before you pay.

Running a shop, not just quoting? A closed-loop job-cost layer is on the roadmap — help shape it as a design partner: — vendor quotes, purchase orders, receipts, invoices, labor, and live job status — on the same local-first engine.

QUESTIONS

Before you join

Do I need to send my data anywhere?

No. fastQuote runs entirely on your machine. Your price book, vendor costs, and job files stay local. There is no fastQuote cloud account and no data collection of any kind.

Do I have to use AI?

No. The core pipeline — BOM parsing, cost roll-up, markup, quote sheet, validation — is fully deterministic and works without any API key. AI (drawing takeoff, document reading) is optional and, when used, runs on your provider account.

Will it work with my existing spreadsheets?

Yes. fastQuote reads and writes standard Excel and LibreOffice workbooks. Your BOM and price book stay as flat files you can open, edit, and back up like any other spreadsheet.

Can it read my drawings?

Yes. For fabrication: PDF BOM tables and part prints, DXF cut profiles, and the Excel BOM your CAD system exports. For construction: CAD (DXF) plans, schedules and bid forms. The 4-layer takeoff engine extracts, checks, and prices rows into your BOM, and every assembly drill-down asks before it goes deeper. Deterministic checks decide what is trusted — never a model's self-confidence. 3D models (STEP) through fastQuote 3D and PDF construction plans through fastTakeoff are in development and not part of the closed beta yet.

What happens after the 30-day trial?

Your workbooks keep working. To keep generating new quotes, activate a license — the numbers are on the pricing page. No auto-billing traps, no upgrade fees.

Is this an ERP?

No. fastQuote is quoting-first: it owns the BOM-to-quote path and produces ERP-ready output you can import. Shops that want the full loop — purchase orders, receipts, invoices, labor, live job cost — that is on the roadmap, and design partners are shaping it — built on the same local-first engine.

What if I don't like it?

Cancel within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. No forms, no questions.
